The Hong Kong Immigration Department announced that starting from 11:00 AM on February 26, 2025, applicants under the specified schemes must pay an application fee, and upon approval, pay the applicable visa issuance fee according to a two-tier system.
A total of 10 schemes are affected, including various talent admission schemes and investment immigration schemes.
Applicants under the specified schemes, whether applying as the principal applicant or as a dependent, must pay an application fee. The specific fee standards are as follows:
1. Submitting an application (including initial and renewal) requires a payment of 600 HKD per person.
2. Upon approval: charged according to a two-tier system
• If the visa validity is less than 6 months, the fee is 600 HKD per person
• If the visa validity is more than 6 months (including 6 months), the fee is 1300 HKD per person
If the applicant's application is rejected or voluntarily withdrawn, the government will not refund the application fee.
Meanwhile, the Financial Secretary of the Hong Kong SAR Government, Paul Chan Mo-po, released the "2025-26 Government Budget."
The 2025 budget indicates that the government is fully committed to attracting talent, and in the short term, will actively invite top and leading talents to Hong Kong under the "Admission Scheme for Talents and Professionals." It will also optimize the "Admission Scheme for Mainland Talents and Professionals" and the "General Employment Policy," allowing young non-degree professionals with professional technical qualifications and experience to come to Hong Kong to engage in technical jobs with manpower shortages.
As for the new Capital Investor Entrant Scheme, over 880 applications have been received so far, expected to bring in over 26 billion HKD in investments, and a series of optimization measures will be launched soon to provide greater flexibility for the scheme.
If you are interested in Hong Kong identity, you can apply through the two popular ways: the new Capital Investor Entrant Scheme and the Top Talent Pass Scheme. The Hong Kong Capital Investor Entrant Scheme has no scoring requirements, no quota limits, no education, and no residency requirements. Once approved, you can freely work and start a business in Hong Kong, benefiting the whole family. Starting from an investment of 30 million HKD, the whole family can quickly obtain Hong Kong identity. The Top Talent Pass Scheme requires no investment, no pre-employment by an employer, no asset requirements, and no scoring requirements. One person applies, and the spouse and minor children can accompany, freely entering and exiting Hong Kong. Eligible applicants should apply as soon as possible to benefit early!
